We are a team tournament trail affiliated to SABAA, by competeting on the trail teams may qualify to fish the Team Tounament Final where Protea colors are awarded to those that do well. The Electronic Bass Anglers Society (EBASS) was established in response to recent developments within the realm of competitive bass fishing. The global competitive bass fishing community has never been more divided than it is today regarding the use of fishing electronics in tournaments. In some major tournaments, the use of fishing electronics has been completely banned, while others permit their use only during certain portions of the event. Many competitive anglers have made significant investments in electronic fishing technologies. Recognizing the growing needs of a large segment of anglers and the strategic interests of major sponsors in the electronic fishing industry, EBASS has taken a pioneering role by organizing bass fishing tournaments where the use of fishing electronics is required.

SABAA stands as a competitive platform for all facets of Bass Fishing, and is the custodian for the regulation and development of bass fishing in South Africa, from the Youth upwards. With technology, we have a plan to create a popular platform through competition, where Brands can engage with SA’s outdoor community and enjoy a positive return on their investment in our beloved sport. Conservation is at the forefront of our mission and we will continually invest in measures to improve SA’s angling experience, and control the impact we have on our limited resources.
