Getting started

Your first five minutes: set up your profile and get ready for your next trip.

What it is

AnglersHub is South Africa's angling platform. Find fishing spots, tackle shops and competitions, check the weather and dam levels, and keep your own catch log. This is the quickest way to get going.

Why it helps

  • A few minutes of set up now means your next trip is logged properly from the first cast.
  • Your PBs, stats and achievements start building from day one.

Step by step

  1. Join AnglersHub

Sign up with Google or your email. It is free.

  2. Rig up your profile

Your profile has a Rig up your profile checklist with six quick jobs. Each one has a button that takes you straight there, and you earn points as you go.

  3. Add your PBs

Got a personal best from before? Add it on your PB board. Old fish from memory count.

  4. Pack your tackle box

Add the rods, reels and baits you use. Session mode then lets you pick them in a tap, and your stats show which gear catches.

  5. Save your spots

Find your waters on Fishing Spots and save the ones you fish, or pin the next place you want to try.

  6. Put it on your phone

Add AnglersHub to your home screen so it opens like an app at the dam.

  7. Start your first session

Next time you are on the water, tap Start session and log your casts and catches as you go.

Tips

  • You do not need to fill in everything at once. Start a session with no gear and add it later.
  • Looking for where and how to fish? The Guides section has dam guides, baits and techniques.
